Hyria needed to migrate entire on-premise data center to cloud in just 3 months before property demolition while minimizing disruption.
Cloud2 created Cloud Governance model and Landing Zone, performed server migration with joint workshops, and transformed legacy infrastructure into automated cloud-based Azure using IaC.
Hyria is an educational institution that provides training, coaching and rehabilitation services with the aim of helping its clients to find employment. In addition to providing vocational training, coaching and rehabilitation services for young people and adults, Hyria also helps businesses to succeed.
Hyria was using an outdated on-premise data centre. The organisation wanted to move to a fully cloud-based infrastructure to achieve automation, cost savings and security.
Hyria’s data centre estate was about to be demolished in its entirety, so modernising the infrastructure was a logical step to improve Hyria’s operational efficiency. The tight schedule brought its own challenges to the process.
Hyria needed an experienced partner who could reliably complete the cloud migration in just three months before the property was demolished.
Cloud2 initiated a multi-level cloud migration of Hyria’s on-premise infrastructure with a comprehensive plan to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruption to Hyria’s operations.
Initially, Cloud2 created a Cloud Governance cloud management model and a Landing Zone that included access management, cloud networking and cost control. The optimal migration of servers to Azure was ensured in joint workshops between Cloud2 and Hyria.
Cloud2 performed the server migration using materials from the workshops. The legacy data center was transformed into a fully automated, cloud-based Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
Cloud2 completed the migration process within a pre-defined challenging timeframe in a cost-effective and secure manner.
With Cloud2’s migration, Hyria is now fully cloud-native, and the modernised IT environment better serves the needs of the organisation.
The server migration provides Hyria with efficient infrastructure automation solutions, cost savings and improved security, among other benefits. The infrastructure migrated to Azure raised the educational capabilities of the institution to a new level, enabling Hyria to grow and develop flexibly well into the future.
The partnership is ongoing, and Cloud2 has made various optimizations to the Hyria cloud even after the migration.
